What We Believe

God's Word

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

  • All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)

One Eternal Creator God

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).
  • Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
  • Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory (Isaiah 6:3)

Salvation through death and resurrection of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross, and conquered the grave to prove His victory and give us life. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ

  • For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5)
  • He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth (1 Peter 2:22)
  • Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household" (Acts 16:31)
  • Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son (John 3:18)
  • Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life" (Matthew 25:46)
  • He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (1 Peter 2:24)
  • He is not here; he has risen, just as he said (Matthew 28:6)

Second coming of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

  • For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
  • He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20).

Daily Repentence

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and new life, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

  • Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord" (Acts 3:19)
  • Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me'" (Luke 9:23)

Corporate Communion

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer, and the breaking of bread.

  • And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25)
  • They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (Acts 2:42)

Serving

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can achieve His purposes for our lives, which is to know Him and make Him known in our world of influence

  • We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach (Romans 12:6-7)
  • But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15).

Victorious Living

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy, righteous and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively

  • Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up" (James 5:14-15).
  • Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2).
